Nestled between the Wasatch Front and Utah Lake, adjacent to Interstate 15, Utah Valley University is the key educational center for 22,000 students. The Orem campus is situated on beautifully landscaped sloping hills that have plenty of shaded areas for study, enjoyment and relaxation, creating an atmosphere for students to mingle.

The Community

For the outdoor enthusiasts, there are a number of scenic trails, including the Squaw Peak Trail, Alpine Scenic Backway, and Stewart Falls Trail, for hiking, biking and horseback riding.

Deer Creek Reservoir, snuggled in the heart of Provo Canyon, is a favorite spot for many water lovers, while Seven Peaks Water Park and Golf Course is a great way to spend a lazy afternoon relaxing with friends.

As a state, Utah is known for its natural beauty. Several National Parks, including Zion National Park and Arches National Park in Moab, are popular spots for tourists.

During the cold winter months, you can take to the slopes and try some of the world's best powder. Robert Redford's Sundance Ski Resort in Provo Canyon is close to home, but you can also head for the resorts east of Salt Lake City, just 45 minutes away.

A few miles up Provo Canyon is the breathtaking Bridal Veil Falls. Utah's spectacular National Parks are only a few hours away in southern Utah.

Those who shy away from Mother Nature can find shelter at comedy clubs, dance clubs, and over 100 restaurants. The University Mall, in Orem, along with the Provo Towne Center Mall, The Shops at Riverwoods, and numerous other shops make Utah Valley a shopper's paradise.
